Overview

Dr. Faheem Ahmed Abdulla is a board-certified Surgical Oncologist with specialized expertise in thoracic oncology, oncoplastic breast surgery, colorectal cancer surgeries, gynecological cancer surgeries, peritoneal malignancies and HIPEC, as well as robotic and advanced laparoscopic cancer surgeries. He currently serves as a Consultant in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Aster International Institute of Oncology, Calicut.

Skilled in both open and minimally invasive techniques, including keyhole and robotic surgery, Dr. Faheem is particularly experienced in managing complex cancers of the breast, colon, rectum, lung, and gynecological organs. His special interest in HIPEC procedures for peritoneal malignancies is especially noteworthy, reflecting his commitment to advanced and comprehensive cancer care.

Dr. Faheem graduated from Government Medical College, Kannur in 2009 and completed his MS in General Surgery from Government Medical College, Calicut in 2015. He was awarded DNB in General Surgery in 2015 by the National Board and was recognized as the Second Best Postgraduate in Surgery at the All-India level. He later pursued MCh in Surgical Oncology from Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram in 2020, where he received the Best Outgoing Postgraduate – Golden Scalpel Award, followed by DrNB in Surgical Oncology in 2021.
His international credentials include MRCS (Edinburgh, UK), FALS in Oncology (2021), Fellowship of the European Board of Surgical Oncology (FEBS, 2023 – Silver Medal, Florence, Italy), and Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS, Chicago, USA, 2025). His advanced training includes thoracic cancer surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, laparoscopic colorectal surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, and keyhole and robotic lung cancer surgery at Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, Tongji University, the world’s largest lung cancer center.
